A new report titled: “EU Arctic Footprint and Policy Assessment” was the subject of a conference on 8 November, 2010. Representatives of the EU, Member States, and Arctic States, in addition to members of the scientific community considered the Community's role in assisting adaptation in the Arctic and many stressed the need for facilitating a controlled transition to a new Arctic paradigm. The range of EU policy pathways identified in the report include, stronger environmental laws, increased cooperation through MEAs and international leadership. Final Report

Arctic Council: Biodiversity
The Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF) Working Group of the Arctic Council released its report 'The Arctic Biodiversity Trends – 2010: Selected Indicators of Change'. Using 22 indicators of change, the report provides seven key findings for selected biodiversity in the Arctic. www.arcticbiodiversity.is.
